I thought it was pretty good, although I think the writers tried way too hard to make it sound "clever" and Jason Schwartzman seemed like he was rehashing Max Fisher

That's kind of what I thought too, but I looove Max Fischer so I'm ok with it. I also assume it'll get better since this is only the pilot.

Second episode is on now, I saw this and the first one last week. It's a good show, yet a little bit slow. I figured there'd be more plot lines going on by the end of the second episode, but then again it's only the second episode. I think Danson's pretty funny in it. And, obviously Galifianakis. Schwartzman needs to pick up the slack.

this show is one of those that's trying so hard not to be funny that people will think its funny. I'm sure its a huge hit with the hipster crowd. I don't mind it, i'm just failing to grasp what they are trying to achieve.

I think this show is pretty good, I will be watching in the future. I haven't seen Ted Danson in anything since Cheers though, so it's really weird seeing him with white hair.

galifinakis is basically gets about 1 min of screen time out of every 20 and isnt given much material to work with

and i've never been a huge danson fan, so you'll have to judge for yourself there
