I am not joking. I couldn't see all that well but it definitely looked like her...she was behind the truck, which swerved to miss the illegal u-turn SUV, went through the median, lost a bumper and then squealed tired to speed off.

I think it was a silver car...we were turning left from Western onto that road that runs behind Sammy's and the truck went off into the median and across the ditch right in front of us. The illegal u-turn driver barely missed getting creamed by this beat up truck that is now bumperless. Ambrosia (I'm assuming) got out of her car and walked up to the SUV as we were merging back on Western.

Its a left turn only for those going away from downtown on Western and a no turn for those coming toward downtoewn on Western. The SUV driver could have had a head on collision with us but she stopped in time and that caused the truck to cut a hard left into the ditch/median and then sped off on Western...maybe drinking?

The bumper belonged to the Mazda that got hit, not the truck.

I think in NC you can make a u-turn unless there's a sign that says you can't.

Yes, they were. A few years ago, it used to be allowed to u-turn there but they removed the lane and made it a left turn only. if you zoom in the view from Nazareth Street as if you were turning on to Western, there are clearly two signs that state no left turn....And coming away from downtown, there is a lane for people to turn onto Nazareth.

The truck was missing the front bumper so I assumed (as I stated above) that is was their bumper...I didn't even see a Mazda unless that was the SUV?

Why? Would do any good now....especially since we didn't see the tags on the truck that sped away. I just thought it was weird that a wolf web person was already on the scene.
