ok, maybe i'm old or living in a hole, but I have never heard of OAR.

what genre do they fit in? i'm guessing by the people hating, it's not emo or hipster.

possibly a frat rock/jam band?

I hadn't heard of OAR until I was mid way through college. And frat rock/jam band is probably the most accurate way to describe them.

I've never seen a show at Koka Booth and the wife likes them and I know a lot of their songs so we're gonna check them out.

I'm not really sure why all the hate.

fuck y'all, i like OAR

though i've never seen them live and probably never would...in fact, i don't think i've actually paid to listen to any of their music (a place of honor reserved for none but my favorite bands)

still, i like them (sometimes i get them and dispatch confused, though)

Are these songs representative of this band? If so, they suck mightily--I couldn't even finish listening to the songs.

It was a good show. Weather was nearly perfect, got a nice spot in the grass to just relax and listen to some tunes.

I mean, I suppose I could have just stayed home on the wolf web and been a faggot all evening.

6 years after posting in this thread, I finally got around to listening to OAR.

and fuck me, I like it.

Therefore it oughta be classified as dadrock.
