As I understand it, studio execs tend to be conservative.

^no it was not sarcasm, have you ever seen this show?
it is like sean hannity wrote it himself, there is no humor, and is way too educational and it tries to discredit everything liberals beleive in
and try to look like family guy while doing it

And as for this thread:

^yeah that is the mystery, he created family guy and american dad
i think he's doing american dad by request from FOX for the money

but the fact that american dad has a huge conservative bias is not debatable

OMG, yall r stupid,

colbert report is satire
american dad is family guy for the fox news crowd, they basically went up to seth and paid him to make a show that showed conservative values, etc
not hard to believe

and if you dont believe me show me an episode where they promote liberal values or make fun of key conservative values

and answer what non-conservative show would spend 30 minutes discrediting african american history month

wow lafta, despite the fact that Seth McFarlane has stated and demonstrated himself in interviews (google turns up one on Olbermann for Christ's sake!) that his shows are satire, you have managed to crack the code.

let's find other stealth signs of conservatism in his shows:

-Stewie (representing America) rejects his mother's care (the welfare state)
-Meg discovers that being a sexy pop star isn't all its cracked up to be (anti-pornography)
-Lois wins election by invoking 9/11 (never forget 9/11)

Jesus tap-dancing Christ you are so dumb it's hard to believe you even know how to breathe.

American Dad satirizes the hell out of conservatives vis-a-vis Stan Smith, and liberal hippies to a lesser degree via Haley and her hippy boyfriend. Have you even watched one episode to completion?

Seriously, we probably shouldn't expect any more from the person who actually tried to argue that Terminator 3 was the strongest of the series.

wtf does that have to do with which way it is biased.
I can do a Davinci code parody to advocate any issue i want.

But let me review if you didnt bother to read what i wrote. I am well aware of seth's personal political bias.
And granted i did make this judgement based on one show.
But is it really hard to believe that Fox news network would pay Seth to create a show for conservatives and Seth agree to it cause he'd be paid tons of money?
is it really that hard to imagine.

by the way you need to reread those episodes you posted, they are all conservatively biased.

And your proof of this is... what, exactly? What is your proof for this conspiracy?

Oh right, nothing. Nothing but the retarded claims of a person who I again will point out insisted that Terminator 3 was the strongest of the franchise.

In fact, yes, given that this is the network that also brought us The Simpsons, Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place, Married With Children, In Living Color, etc. It is a network known for pushing the envelope to get ratings, not in pushing shows with a particular agenda, and certainly not one with a social conservative bent. It's almost - and bear with me here - like Fox Network was a business with the goal of making profits by producing shows that... get people to watch.

that is exactly why American Dad exists. Fox has been the hub of all things filthy on television for years. But with Fox News being so popular with conservative they have to answer to their fans as to why there aren't enough conservative shows on tv, let alone on Fox network.
So this is their answer.
Did you think they would not use this outlet for a way to bring conservative shows to the masses and disguise it as just another show?
c'mon man, don be naive
