Some guy drove his car into a ditch at the intersection of Dan Allen and Western Blvd. The rear-end of his car was sticking into the air like a duck's ass.

Anyone got pics?

he was probably drunk and dipped.

if that is the actual car, replacing it would be cheaper than a DUI.

of course the plates leading right to him would just end in a doublefuck.

^not necessarily:

Quote :
"driver who leaves the scene of an accident can be subject to serious criminal charges such as "felony hit and run.""

while a dui sucks, it isn't as bad as a felony, especially if they decide to pursue other charges

Quote :
"A first-time DUI, (or, in some states, "DWI" -- short for "driving while intoxicated") is normally charged as a misdemeanor, not a felony"

but then again:

Quote :
"in a number of states, a DUI will be raised to a felony if it is the driver's second, third, or even fourth DUI offense."

so i guess it depends on the person

we have answered calls to a lot of cars in ditches that were left there by drunks. they come back after they sober up and say someone else was driving or that they went to get help. if the cops don't see them driving it they can't prove anything.

a guy i know crashed his car about a block from his parents house (while drunk) and then just walked home. he filed an insurance claim that it was stolen and actually got the car covered

another guy i know wrapped his car around a tree and fled the scene, the cops came to question him the next day and he puked in front of them but they still couldn't charge him with shit

I know a guy that did that and got charged with felony hit and run and the charges almost stuck. He had to plead guilty and accept a 7 month jail term to get the charges reduced to a misdemeanor (with an attorney).

Granted in his case he ran into a van, rolled it over, and forgot his cell phone in the wrecked car which they used to identify and subsequently locate him.

I am pretty sure if he had not had a horrible record, hit an occupied vehicle, and left his cell phone he could have gotten out of it.

michael waltrip rolled his lexus and walked home couple years ago. didnt answer the door when the cops showed up. didnt get a dwi.

scott wimmer did the same thing but his dumbass wife let the cops in the door and he got a dwi.

moral: dont answer the door for cops
