Because "African American" isn't really a PC term. If you go to any other English speaking country and call a black person that, you get screamed at for obvious reasons (Even in Canada, which is part of the Americas). The term "African-American" describes a person who came from one region (Africa) and now lives in another (America), but it does not describe a race.

I mean, what do you call a black person in the US who isn't American when "African American" is the "PC" term for any black person?

At my last job, me and everyone there pretty much avoided McDonalds at lunch even though it was less than a mile away. Pretty much all their food is garbage.

I'd say meals are an essential need. I can see how offering food at a low cost and then telling people that it is healthy for them would be preying on the low income community. Couple that with some urban themed 'i'm lovin it' add campaign and you bring in the black community.
