What new things have you purchased or what are you planning to buy for this year?

when I got home I took pics to post in this thread,

I keep all my stuff sitting by the front door so I can get pumped up on the way out the door to work every morning.

Tailgate Chest:

Fully packed up for game 1 with dishes, utensils, sauces, cookware, napkins, snacks, etc

Diamond plate NCSU logo I made for my tailgate chest with my vinyl cutter:

New Collapsible grill that rolls. Ideal for packing in the truck. Hopefully it can accommodate a drunk chicken.

98 can cooler to ring in the new football/hockey season:

And of course, the LCD for viewing other games(will probably refrain on 9/3 as I do not think Everybody Loves Raymond will get me sufficiently PUMPED)

Everything was fully packed up about 2 weeks ago, I can't stand this wait. Going out to purchase red and black bud light tonight.

And oh yeah, 10-day forecast now encompasses gameday... looking good

TX lot

we ball on a budget. food and beer are the big ticket items. grilling is a sport. we spend less $ on canopies, pig cookers, custom t-shirts, and other accessories and shit than a lot of other tailgates.

SC game we'll be 20+ easy, most games though it'll be closer to 12-15

got a flagpole and flags for this season, working on a new audio setup

The diamond logo is cool because it was my high school logo

Except there was an E instead of an N

Let's talk about tailgating

TGL3, I'm coming down for one of the 1-AA games, hopefully others. I expect to drink beer and yell loudly in a parking lot with you and your crew of flunkies. Hopefully this can happen and I won't stand you up like you have stood me up. Twice now.

I intend on going to every home game this season. I'll at least tailgate for every game, but I am pretty sure I have a ticket person this year for them free tickets

and I will supply you with as much beer and/or yelling as you need

you just need to bring the pain/funny

Stadium North
Anywhere from 8 to 100+ deep
Finally breaking out the old tent this year and got a new grill.
And I believe my beer for this season may be PBR. I need something light to drink in mass, however, I hate bud light and the like.... PBR is drinkable though. I'd take other suggestions as well...

23 bucks at wal mart

Unpowered Philips antenna from target: 9 bucks. I only use the loop and can get like 20 HD channels and a load of SD.

Remember to start your vehicle up periodically though, every hour or so I give her a crank

TX LOT!

Pretty stoked to tailgate for the first time in my new truck. Now I not only can fit 2 sets of cornhole boards, beer die table and chairs, ladder golf, cooler, canopy, fire-and-ice grill, camping chairs, food and whatnot, but also 4 more people!! SuperCrew F-150 FTtailgatingW!!

holy shitballs I'm excited and impatient.

btw, tailgating limit is still 5 hours per the 2009 Carter-Finley Fan Guide (page 9):

^^yes. i believe that is the game that my friends invented 2 years or so ago where you throw an object at a can and you have to finish as much beer as possible before the person retrieves teh ball.

there's a lot of effort involved.

i like to just drink.

Beer Ball
1. Cut the top off and punch a hole in a plastic bat.
2. Fill the bat with beer (bong-esque)
3. Chug the beer in the bat.
4. Do spinnies with the bat on the ground and your head on the bat, running around the bat as fast as you can trying to keeping bat on ground. (# of times is for parties disgression)
5. Pitcher throws the empty beer can from step 2. Participant attempts to hit can.
6. Rotate positions.

kev has the basic premise down but it's not all that much effort. it's competitive fun.

equipment: table, pong ball, 4 beers (one per person)
no. of teams: 2 (your teammate is on your end of the table)

You throw the ball at either opponent's can. If you hit, your partner begins chugging immediately until either opponent recovers the ball and puts it on the table. If you miss, nothing happens, and it's the opposing team's turn. They do the same, and when it's your team's turn again, your partner now throws and you do the chugging.

the winning team is that which runs out of beer first, and thereby moves on to take on the next challenger. survive and advance, baby.

ps: we'll be out there all day saturday tailgaiting for the panthers and playing this. we set up a tournament with brackets, etc. look for the app st tent (not mine) with the wfu tent (also not mine).

Yeah yeah, and its only fun for about 20 mins before people lose interest

I like to get two tallboys and double fist for starters

then play some kind of drinking game for the next hour or so

Then just sit there and drink some more till kickoff

Any of y'all tried beer baseball? It's like a combination of beer pong and flip cup. It's fun, easy, and a lot of ppl can play.

- 2 teams, any number of people per team (no max)
- 4 solo cups in a straight line on either end of the table, and two set on the side of the table in the middle, all cups filled with 1/2 or 1/4 beer (whatever you want) in each.
- The cup closest to the middle of the table is a single, then double, then triple, then homerun as you move further away (towards the end of the table).
- a throwing order is established on each team, "visitor" team throws first, if a "batter" misses a cup it's an out, 3 outs to an inning, as you'd expect.
- if batter gets on base, he or she goes to the side of the table, along with a defensive player from the other team (of their choice)
- once on base, you can do nothing and wait for your teammates to try and bat you in, or you can try to steal.
- to attempt a steal, the baserunner grabs his/her cup from the side of the table and chugs, then once empty sets it down like flip cup. The defender does the same and the first to successfully flip their cup wins: runner advances 1 base, or defender gets them out.
- you can't try to steal until the table is set. For example: i throw a double, i have to wait for that team to drink that cup, refill it, and set it back on the table. Once they've reset the board, I can try to steal, even if they've forgotten to send out a defensive player or that player is not paying attention.
-Only one actualy person "on base" at a time, however Ghostman rules apply (surely everybody played neighborhood baseball and knows what i'm talking about)

Hopefully I didn't make it sound complicated, b/c it's really easy to pick up and you can make it as intense or as laid back as you want.

well don't knock it til you try it

people generally don't lose interest when 3 tables are going at once. gets pretty hectic.
