Perhaps it's the assumption that, if you are not responsible enough to keep potentially embarrassing/incriminating pictures private, you may lack responsibility in other areas that are related to the job. Or that your behavior reflects on the firm, despite the situation not being in any way related, that they see you as some sort of ambassador for them in your personal life?Not saying I agree.
