especially not with the name your own price tool:
9/3/2009 7:51:06 PM
OH JESUS NO HAIRDRIER!?!?!
9/3/2009 7:53:10 PM
that all sounds like stuff I could deal with pretty easily
9/3/2009 7:53:27 PM
what hotel was it?
9/3/2009 7:53:40 PM
one in Atlanta. I've got a 5am flight Saturday morning and the friend I was going to stay with just bailed on me.
9/3/2009 7:57:47 PM
9/3/2009 7:58:12 PM
yeah . . . I might just sleep in my truck at the airport.
9/3/2009 8:00:16 PM
What is a 1* place like I wonder…?
9/3/2009 8:01:34 PM
no kidding. I figured 2* would be cheap but clean. I don't need much other than that really.
9/3/2009 8:02:17 PM
No problem, Robert ]
9/3/2009 8:02:38 PM
^ you can delete that too [Edited on September 3, 2009 at 8:05 PM. Reason : obrigado]
9/3/2009 8:03:26 PM
frontage road should be enough said. also airport blvds arent bad in raleigh, but everywhere else in the country airport rd means DAT HOOD SHIT
9/3/2009 8:03:38 PM
Next time, hit me up for a starwood discount--westin, sheraton, w, etc. You will not be disappointed.
9/3/2009 8:06:14 PM
westins and ws are the jam
9/3/2009 8:11:50 PM
I stayed in a 2 star in Miami once. Walls were paper thin, but otherwise no complaints.
9/3/2009 8:12:41 PM
I get 69 a night at most w and westin hotels. Not too shabby.
9/3/2009 8:15:52 PM
thats friends and family rate at a lot of marriots
9/3/2009 8:17:15 PM
Well, if you want to stay at a sheraton or aloft, it's 39 or 49 per night. W is a luxury brand, thus the higher price.
9/3/2009 8:19:52 PM
nice. this place wants more than that
9/3/2009 8:21:01 PM
what about the sheraton in downtown raleigh? i cant see those being that cheap
9/3/2009 8:21:20 PM
4 beds in one room, community kitchen and bathroom. $7-$15 a night. AND THERE WASN'T EVEN A HAIRDRYER!!!!That is my kind of hotel.
9/3/2009 8:21:26 PM
now that we all know you're going to atlanta, if i weren't going to be heading out of town myself tomorrow, i'd offer you a room at my place. it's a little more upscale and on the 22nd floor so it's got a great view of the city.
9/3/2009 8:22:41 PM
lol probably not as bad as college park...but uh...u shoulda went 85 north a little past the city and gotten a room off the interstate...they are pretty cheap.
9/3/2009 8:22:42 PM
9/3/2009 8:23:33 PM
I hear the pink pony is good times. And my rate for the sheraton is raleigh is 49 per night. It's fairly ghetto though.
9/3/2009 8:26:51 PM
going to austin tomorrow! Woo woo! Best city ever.
9/3/2009 8:28:00 PM
and did Joe###s offer to pay for a hotel?]
9/3/2009 8:28:56 PM
^ I was pricing out hotels... that's how I found out I was logged into your account I stopped when it asked me for your CC verification #. I hope it didn't charge you. ]
9/3/2009 8:35:33 PM

9/3/2009 8:36:40 PM
Wait...is joe#s going to Austin this wknd too? Hottie stalk time!
9/3/2009 8:38:17 PM

9/3/2009 8:38:41 PM
Ooh! So jealous. San Diego is gorgeous. I want to live there. And Austin.
9/3/2009 8:40:58 PM
ahh, San Diego . . .
9/3/2009 8:41:09 PM
That sounds like the place I stayed in Bangkok. Which was acceptable since it was in a third world country.
9/3/2009 8:49:31 PM
yeah, i've slept in some shitty places for cheap or free . . . but there is a minimum level of quality for me to pay for something.
9/3/2009 8:50:30 PM
How much was the place? At least the one in Bangkok was $5/day lol.
9/3/2009 8:53:55 PM
For 4 bucks per night, I slept in a hammock at this hostel in costa rica that had no hot water. I think I went 4 days without bathing. Haha. But it was fun! The place was full of young Euro kids and hosted toga parties. I'd rather to that than stay in the Atl ghetto.
9/3/2009 8:58:37 PM
I paid something like $10 a night for 3 nights in the Ecuadorian jungle on a mattress with a mosquito net. No toga parties, but definitely >>>> ATL ghetto.
9/3/2009 8:59:34 PM
How is it possible to feel safer in the middle of the jungle in a third world country than in our own country?I would move to Central America in a heartbeat.
9/3/2009 9:03:51 PM
I am really happy with the name your price feature....Used it twice this month...Hyatt for $40 in RichmondMarriott for $28 in CharlotteI will def. use again!
9/3/2009 10:16:04 PM
9/3/2009 10:32:16 PM
Is that Sheraton in the middle of Mogadishu?
9/3/2009 10:58:29 PM
I am a diehard Priceline negotiator, but I have never bid on a room under three stars. Being able to narrow down the regionality of the auction seems to keep you out of the ghetto, at least. But you may end up with one bed or two, which is another variable to contend with (the front desk peeps aren't usually as receptive to negotiations as with someone who paid retail for their room).
9/3/2009 11:19:14 PM
9/4/2009 12:43:14 AM
what do you expect of a sub 50-a-night hotel
9/4/2009 12:54:47 AM
whats a decent discount to expect with name your own price?
9/4/2009 1:15:02 AM
I remember back in 2002 I got screwed so badly by Priceline I haven't had the gumption to use them since.
9/5/2009 6:48:48 PM
Turned out alright thanks to lucyinthesky
9/8/2009 11:02:08 AM
jcashfan and lafta should kiss and talk about how bad they are at life
9/8/2009 11:03:54 AM
I know right? Maybe I should just go ahead and kill myself.
