i've actually only used it to seal the ends of rope that you can't melt (so anything that's not nylon, etc.)...it comes in a paint can and you just dip the rope into it...when it dries, it's literally just rubberi don't really need it for the rope, but i'm looking for this stuff and a cursory search on HD and lowe's websites isn't finding anythingsuggestions?

when i went to lowes today it was near the registers and the tool section.it's instant handle or something like that.showed someone dipping pliers into it.

i think you want tool dip for the handles of tools. thats what i use on some of my rope.
