i was in raleigh this weekend. had some interesting times exploring old haunts. i went and read the entries i made in my fraternities roster and that was interesting to see what i wrote when i was in my early 20s and teens.

Depends where you go - for graduate school the government considers you as connected to your parents for ever and ever.

But some schools will offer private funding, ignoring your parent's income when you reach a certain age.

i can't really say i enjoyed my time in college. i missed out on that whole social life thing. if i wasn't in class, i was at working to pay my way or doing homework.

oddly enough, i have money and time now, but still no social life thing.

I'm loving grad school. I worked for 3 years after undergrad before being able to afford grad school, & while grad school still has more responsibility than undergrad did, it is still a shift towards having more control over my daily routine. I probably spend as much time working on school/homework/readings/projects as I did when I was working full time, but at least it is on my own schedule & I don't have to get up at 5:00am any more.

Yeah that is bullshit isn't it. My dad just finished getting his masters. He's in his 50s and FAFSA wanted his father and dead mother's tax information when he applied
