Bumgarner, from South Caldwell HS, is making his MLB Debut on the mound tonight for the Giants replacing Tim Lincecum. Apparently Lincecum experienced some soreness and as a precaution they called up Bumgarner today around 2pm.

He's been a stud in minor league. Cool that he is gettin a shot tonight... and plus he is a local kid.

saw him pitch as a jr in hs and absolutely shut down the best high school lineup i've ever seen that included dustin ackley

he's given up 2 bombs (headley and kouzmanoff) but hasn't looked real bad. just left a couple pitches up, and in the MLB... that is a no-no.
