^ yeah that won't happen he is 35 and only has 2722 hits, Pete Rose had 4256 hits. He would need to average 219 (His season career high) hits a year for 7 more seasons to catch Pete. Joining the 3000 hits club is as high as he will get. He will still be a first ballot hall of famer.

he's actually only 41 behind where pete rose was at the same age, at the end of the season. he won't get 41 hits this year, and he won't play til he's 45 like Pete did (probably), so yeah i know he won't do it, but he could finish in the top 5 all time (3514) which is pretty amazing.

about the only people that will be relevant in the top 15 of so all time are pujols, a-rod, and maybe beltre or rollins or somethin..
