i drink a lot of tap water here, but i've definitely been to places where the water tastes so funky i won't drink it. for example, tap water at the beach sucks.

my immune system is fine and i use a brita filter. it tastes bad

dnl is the one getting swine flu and tonsillitis. we should ask him what he drinks.

i DO however eat off of the floor/ground (i mean not all the time but if something falls i'm not adverse to eating it) so i get my germs in somehow.

Chicago's tap water is great. I crave me some Lake Michigan water sometimes.

Or any tap water + britta filter

(technically i just USE my britta filter because i'm too cheap to replace the actual filter. but most tapwater (minus beach water) cold tastes fine. imo)

khcadwal i work at a hotel and come into contact with more people from more outside places than you. it only makes sense that i'd be exposed to more germs

If I had a refrigerator with a built in filter, I'd never drink tap water obviously... But I go through like 5-6 LARGE glasses of water a day so beggars can't be choosers...

^^i can't disagree with that, but a hotel trumps a school in my opinion. i come into contact with a less homogenous population

[Edited on September 15, 2009 at 10:22 PM. Reason : but goodluck on not getting sick]

I've been saying this forever, the more you expose yourself to small amounts of bacteria, etc. the better your immune system is equipped to fight off the bad shit. In China, if Americans drink the tap water they get the worst runs of their life, even just by brushing your teeth. The Chinese don't, and the Americans that stay there over extended amounts of time develop the immunity as well, point proven.

i drink tap water and home and at work, but back at my parent's house, their water tastes pretty bad so they definitely need a brita for me to drink it.

I don't like most bottled water and I really can't stand deer park. I love me some tap water, though. Well preferred, city acceptable. If I'm not drinking alcohol, I'm drinking tap water.
