at least it was in a parking lot and the only damage was to the front fender.

if I had to be in an accident, I guess that's the best kind to be in.

He probably said "HEY GET OUTTA THE WAY" and you were like "IT'S FINE, YOU GOT PLENTY OF ROOM, KEEP COMING" and then BLAM!; your shit got fucked. Totally his fault for listening to your womanly opinion unless you had a helmet on and have a manly upper body though.

we were in a parking lot moving ~5mph. he stopped. I came to a stop behind him. he then put the car into reverse and backed into me. it was a case of him just not looking in the rearview at all.

it doesn't matter how far behind him I was, because there's no "following too closely" when no one is moving. do you leave ample space between you and the car in front of you at a stop light, just in case that person decides to unexpectedly reverse without looking?

I feel a little bad for the guy. I mean, it is his fault that he didn't look, but if he had been driving a sedan instead of jeep, the bumper would have hit my tire and not the fender, and there wouldn't be any damage.

well, yeah, I had on a helmet, but my ginormous tittyballs make my upper body look very un-manly

you dont roll around on a motorcycle and expect to ride up to the bumper of the vehicle in front of you at an intersection. if you saw that he had gone too far into the intersection, you should have left enough room for the correction - else you were following too closely to begin with.

haha it doesnt matter, obviously for that reason. you non-riding fools may call semantics, but everyone has seen their fair share of retarded goings-on with motorcyclists.

I was on a bicycle and got hit by a car in a parking lot. I ended sprawled out on the hood of another car before I stopped.

My favorite time was when a pedestrian completely STOPPED when she saw me. I was planning to breeze behind her and that didn't happen. Never knew you could slide a bike to a stop sideways.

Technically . . . yes. If you were to be rear ended and be pushed into the car in front of you, you would be at fault.

comma however

His vehicle was in motion towards the bike. It is his fault.

I had a close call w/ a girl and a landrover, on a cell phone, in a parking garage.

WHY THE FUCK DO PEOPLE CUT CORNERS SHORT IN A PACKED FUCKING PARKING DECK

I was having a bad day, so I leaned on the horn and yelled at her "GET OFF YOUR FUCKING CELL PHONE AND PAY ATTENTION!"

I swear I'm going to murder someone in this parking deck. It happens ALL THE DAMN TIME.

No you wouldn't.
I know tons of people who have messed up both ends of their car when someone rear ended them and pushed them into the person in front of them. The cops/insurance companies blame the whole chain reaction on the guy in the back.

really? huh. I've always heard you're responsible for maintaining a safe distance though I always thought it asinine. I mean what is a safe distance? If I get hit by a Civic a safe distance is considerably shorter than if I get hit by a Semi.

Do you have a source for that?

I was at a dead stop, rear ended by a guy, slammed the person in front me, and they did the same.

All fault was on the guy that hit me

fwiw

Yep, that's what happened to me. Dude in front of me braked without brake lights. I bumped into him, and he bumped into the dude in front of him. I was initially found at fault for both cars until they checked his brake lights and found him to be a dumbass.
