Pilot episode tonight after the Office (9:30) on NBC

I have high hopes for this as it looks to have some serious promise

I enjoyed the episode. Unfortunately, I enjoyed the episode in bits and pieces over the course of the past five months through promos, commercials, sneak peaks, etc. Now that that is out of the way we can finally see where the show will be going besides the characters just trying to pass a Spanish test the rest of the season.

i enjoyed it. it seems like pilots tend to be a little weak, so i figure if the pilot was entertaining, its got a decent shot at being worth watching. we'll see how its going after a few more episodes.

As someone who works at a community college, I can say they got the dynamic down pat. It's this crappy looking hybrid of college courses, high school architecture, and all sorts of bizzare people from overachieving townies to burnout townies to that strange old guy you always see around...and Chevy is that man and I think he does it pretty well so far.

Joel wasn't as funny as I expected, but I really liked this.

the problem i have goes beyond the cheesy humor, i mean if that's what they want to do, I can appreciate that

its just that, while I love Joel McHale, his Soup character does not translate to a sitcom. It's pretty hard to get an audience to relate to a main character who is a constant self-absorbed douche.

Chevy Chase, on the other hand, rocks.

But I like this show. Its way better than The Office.

The creator, Dan Harmon, is also responsible for Acceptable.tv and The Sarah Silverman Program. Thats a quality pedigree.

this show is another winner (among new shows. joins Modern Family)
The pilot was great, this weeks was good, but still had lots of outstanding one liners and jokes.

"not original"? come on - that's about as cliche as you can get with criticism. Gonna have to come up with a little something more substantial

I'm really wanting to like this show, but it's just not doing anything for me. Anybody feel like they're trying to go for a Scrubs vibe? Not the later shit-laden seasons but the first couple.
