Wow, what a bunch of haters. The shit was hilarious but like Astral said, I question whether they can keep it up or not.


The best scene by far was when he went into Pam's (HR rep) office with a box of doughnuts. She was counciling a guy caught masterbating with food at work. Archer calls him a food rapist and then offers Pam some food that is supposed to be filled with cream. He then offers to drop them on the floor so she can pretend they are marbles and eat them like a hungry, hungry, hungry, hippo. Obvioulsy you need to see the scene for this to be funny, just wanted to give an example for those who might be interested.


Mom: You got an erection thinking about my death?!
Archer: Only half, the other half would miss you.

I fucking love H Jon Benjamin as a voice actor. I thought the first two eps of Archer (the only two I watched) were pretty funny. Nothing groundbreaking, but I was entertained.

AS didn't renew Frisky Dingo, but they did so because the whole series had basically run its course. It went through a whole lot of crazy, a lot of main character deaths, and basically resolved the entire story arc. This thread is the first I've seen about the Frisky Dingo crew having been screwed over by AS, so I'm not really sure what he's referring to.

^ Basically, Adam Reed was on a break from 70-30 studios, so Frisky Dingo was on hold. The 70-30 people made two episodes for a spin-off show, The Xtacles to keep alive until Reed came back.

Adult Swim decided to run both Xtacles episodes on the same night (Sunday night) and didn't give 70-30 enough time to promote it. Then [AS] put a message before the show to the general tone of "Go onto adultswim.com and vote for either Frisky Dingo or The Xtacles and the winning show is the one we keep."

Then [AS] told the studio that if ratings weren't better for the Friday night rerun of the two episodes the show would be cancelled. 70-30 was working on a third episode when [AS] cancelled The Xtacles, forcing the studio to close permanently.


In my opinion Frisky Dingo still had plenty of life left when [AS] canned it. Sure they killed off a couple main characters, but there were so many in that show it wouldn't have been a problem. They didn't kill the 4 most important ones (Xander Crews, Killface, Simon, Stan). And I have no earthly idea why they didn't pick up The Xtacles despite the ratings, those two episodes were hilarious.

I'm glad Archer is essentially Frisky Dingo on another network.
