RE: Filming Near Eclipse

Dear Jaybee1200

Please be advised that the shooting of a movie is taking place near Eclipse, causing road blockage and limited street parking on Buckhead Ave. and Fulton Ave. The film is called “Due Date” and features Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis (from “The Hangover”). Production in this area is expected to complete by Tuesday, September 29th and the area should resume to normal.
Sincerely,

For The Board Of Directors"

this is pretty cool... I need to go be an extra (random dude talking on cell)... I assume from the title and Galifianakis being in it its going to be some wacky comedy.

Haha I thought it was pretty entertaining. I don't think it trumped the Hangover but I'll definitely see it again.

Pretty funny movie, especially if you enjoy galifianakis, awkward type humor. But sometimes I forget how funny Downey Jr. can be too.

Is this really worth it? I don't know, it looks like a lot of typical comedy tropes with some rehashed Downey/Galifianakis characters.

My girlfriend reeeeeally wants to see it because she loves Califianakis (his stand-up more than his acting, but whatever).

Just tell me that they didn't use all the jokes in the trailer...because it looks like they did, and even those aren't extremely funny. I'm waiting for more of my friends to go see it and see what their opinions are. Too many movies right now that I want to see...don't want this one to be a waste.

IMO, there were quite a few bits that weren't in the trailer. Yeah, most of the storyline can be pieced together for the trailer, but it's not hard to figure out it's a movie going from point A to point B with "oh shits" along the way.

This movie looks like nothing special. Is Zach the new Will Ferrell, where he plays the same character and all of his movies are basically the same damn thing?

I thought this movie was absolutely terrible and I could not wait for it to end. Save your money.

SPOILER:

The part when he spit in the dog's face was pretty awesome though. I put spoiler because it was one of the only parts of the movie.

Pretty much sucked.

The parts in the trailer that weren't really that funny continued to be not really funny. It had a few hearty laughs, but Zach G.'s schtick is getting pretty old. He has to be surrounded by an extremely funny cast and a better script (Hangover) for his stuff to work. Definitely wasn't happening here.

Definitely lolled at that. Probably funniest part in movie. Downey Jr. was much better than Zach in this movie, and he wasn't even that great.

I just like how they tie RDJ's dram about the bear into galifianakis acting like a bear.

I recently watched this and Dinner for Schmucks. They are remarkably similar with the whole annoying-guy-pushing-the-normalish-guy-to-the-brink thing. They were both moderately funny but nothing to write home about. Danny McBride was pretty good in Due Date.

I watched a couple of the bonus features for Due Date, and it was kinda pitiful to hear RDJ claim that "in a very calculated way, I think we may have stumbled on a classic." But whatever, they always sound dumb/self-important in the bonus features...they can't really help it.

This was pretty clearly a rushed attempt to capitalize on the success of The Hangover. It was better than Dinner for Schmucks though, which was aggressively unfunny for like 90% of it's runtime.

AHA, I didn't think it was good or anything, but I definitely preferred it to Due Date.

I was really into the mice though. Those little guys were the best.
