Honestly, Jones scares me more than Barber. I think having him in neither hurts nor helps them (he is a great goal-line back though).

Good Lord here comes the hate again....just like your hate for App State, I really don't get it.

He is not overrated. I don't get where people have put him up on a pedestal with the Mannings, Bradys, Brees, and Warners. Maybe over-talked about? There is not another QB in the NFL that has as much pressure on him as Romo.

Jake has way more pressure than Romo

How would you like to have Tom Sorensen and Scott Fowler ripping you apart on a daily basis ?

Jake's pressure is for his job. Romo's is to win in the playoffs. Two different scenarios. Romo will always be a failure in Dallas until he wins a Super Bowl because of the pressure from Jones, fans, etc. fair or not.

Its small potatoes compared to what Delhomme sees on a daily basis

He's the most maligned Panther since Rae Carruth

how is Romo not overrated? please explain

Tony Dorsett is 100% correct

seriously...name me ONE QUARTERBACK IN THE NFL who is more overrated than Romo

and while it has absolutely zero to do with this thread, i'll remind you that I hate on App because of all their fans who think they're the best team in the state...they're fucking JV but they brag about their JV championships like they mean something

he's 2-0 against us...each game he threw for between 250-270 yards, had 1 TD and 1 INT...passer rating in the 82-92 range

the cowboys in general usually bring it against us

in the regular season of course, lolol, since they are 0-for-life against us when it matters, in January

i was at the game last year...light rain...nice weather...raucous crowd...lost 21-14 or 20-14 cant remember...good game though

Eh, I'd say Romo is overrated for sure, but there are other names that compete. Right now I'd say Cutler is overrated, also probably Sanchez(really young but they're deeming him the next Hollywood Joe), and Matt Cassell(not worth the $texas he got).

Cutler I can agree with although I think he has more physical tools than Romo...I think Sanchez is too young to even be in the discussion...in fairness though, he is 2-0 career..."all he does is win" lol...I definitely think Cassell got way overpaid based on benefiting last year from Belechik, Moss, Welker, etc...but Cutler and Sanchez were good college players...Cassell never really had to play...but unlike Romo, somebody thought Cassell was worthy of a scholarship

So Kurt Warner and Steve McNair sucked because they didn't get scholarships to 1-A schools?

I dont think Romo is overrated, he is very popular which doesnt mean people think he's that good
theres a big difference
besides look at the cowboys last year with and without him,
i think he deserves what he gets, but perhaps not the money until he can win playoff games

but im split on this game, im a 'ther fan but our season so far sucks, & i'd hate for the cowboys to lose 2 in a row in the new stadium

you ever watch ESPN during the fall/winter over the last 4 years? the only other QBs who have gotten as much hype are Manning, Brady, Roethlisberger, Brees and Warner, and all 5 of them actually deserve it

Quote :

the biggest difference in Dallas is whether or not they have Barber...any QB can muff a snap...not every RB is MB3

and yeah that is about the gayest reason ever, especially when you just said you're a panthers fan

Romo has made a Pro Bowl

so has Jake Delhomme

like is stated in a previous thread i have little hope for this seaon as long as jake is under center
so why am i rooting for a meaningless panther win instead of a meaningful dallas win
i like romo and hope he does well, just as i root for some other players including:
manning jr.
adrian peterson
rivers
etc

so shoot me

ok imagine San Diego is 1-1, they lost last game cause Rivers threw 3 interceptions
now they play the panthers, panthers will not make the playoffs this season
who do you root for?

^^^just seems like if the panthers are your #1 team, there wouldnt ever really be a reason to pull against them, but people can pull for whoever they want...i still think the "0-2 in their new stadium" reasoning is dumb

He is NOT overrated. Cowboys fans are even torn between him being the answer or not....Let me play your role, find me some examples where he is overrated.

Oh and about Barber, they have another RB on the team that is as good as he is maybe better in Felix so that's not much of an issue either. They have a good threesome stable.

the one thing i can say is that since the beginning of the panthers we have always had a good D-Line
now we lost that, we have lost our identity
we have never had a good QB so at least we got that going still

Panthers 10

I'm a Saints fan, so I don't want either offense to get too confident. Not that Delhomme's confidence is ever up for debate... I think their 7 comes from a Romo fumble returned for a TD.
