My first thread made a lot of great points but was locked by the neo nazi regime. Thank god we won that, the clock mismanagement was abysmal, the tackilng was atrocious, and the kicking game sucked tethered nutsac.

I'm not going to apologize for finally winning a game that we're supposed to. We need to get better fast.

Ps russell was better his freshman year than this much like philip his soph. Hope that doesn't continue. Great job in the 2nd half but if those flags don't go our way we probably lose for the 30th time in our last 40 games. Think about that statistic

I guess you missed the fact that the refs fucked up the clock in the last 30 seconds to take 20 seconds away? Do I need to explain it to you, or did you tape the game? It was talked about alot on the radio. NOT Tom's fault.

We got a lot of un-nc state like fortune in that game and a lot of baller shit from russell wilson. Remember when Rivers made up for a lot of crappy ncsu teams? Nothing wrong with wanting the team around RW to play better.

Well if the refs fucked up the clock then that sucks no way I can know that. Everyone in the entire stadium was pissed at tob at halftime for what seemed like absolute shennanigans. Even herm edwards could have called that timeout

here is what happened:

1. russel threw an incomplete pass so the clock stopped at :30 or so
2. state gets called for a false start. based on my knowledge of the rules, clock stays stopped here since it was previously stopped, but:
3. ref winds clock on ball placement (1rst ref error is we are right about rules)
4. state slowly lines up, clearly unaware clock is running
5. tom realizes clock is running, gets a TO with about 9 seconds left
6. ref gives him TO at :05 even though the ball had been snapped at :08 or :09, so no way TO could come at :05
7. ref does not give that time back (2nd ref error)

now if i'm wrong about the rules, it was def a TOB screwup, but with a TO and that field position, we prob would have run a play with :09 instead of :05.

on 2nd down russell throws it incomplete out of bounds to stop the clock at 25. on 3rd down, we are called for a pre-snap penalty of false start. how does that make the clock start running? no plays have occurred since the incomplete, yet the refs started the clock.

unless there's some rule i'm missing, we got screwed there. if that is in fact the case, our only mistake was not noticing their mistake sooner. by the time we noticed there were only 5 seconds left (actually we called the timeout with about 8 seconds left. we probably should have had time to take a really quick shot before the fg attempt).

what does TOB have to do with our players missing tackles? does he need to emphasize it more in practice? sure why not...but we also scored the last 21 points holding them scoreless...SOME of the missed tackling i think can be attributed to the initial shock of "holy shit we're not playing a 1-aa team this week"...but again, Tom O'Brien isn't one of our 11 defensive players...he's not the one missing tackles...and fwiw their RB is shifty as fuck, he's not a bad player

lets bring up a stat where in over 2/3 of the games mentioned, Russell Wilson wasn't ever on the field, and half the time was Amato's worst years...I mean when TOB says the team wasn't good and needs to get better, i think thats his way of keeping us grounded and focused...but when you make this thread...it doesnt seem like that...seems like you're mailing it in too early...but like somebody said earlier i dont know if youre trolling or being serious
