ugh this is hard. ^ that was my extremely close 2nd.

My gut reaction was: The Mars Volta - De-Loused in the Comatorium so I suppose thats what I have to put down.

Came out in 1999 so I guess it counts for the decade.

Nofx - The Decline

For the 2000's I'd have to go with:

The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots

^unfortunately, 1999 was in the last decade . Otherwise The Dismemberment Plan - Emergency & I would have been my pick. But this is a battle of the 00's.

I went by 10 years, I did edit my post to have at least something in the 2000's. So much of my favorite music is pre-2000 though.

Either

Krallice - Krallice

or

Direwolf - Beyond the lands of Human Existence.

If DsO's next album comes out this year i have high hopes that that will beat out that those two, krallice also has another chance in november.

I'm AstralAdvent and i approved this message.

Off the top of my head I'm gonna have to say:

because of how many times I've listen to it, itunes even says it out numbers other albums and I've only been keeping track of that since 2007.

but Arcade Fire - Funeral and Okkervil River - Black Sheep Boy gets major shout outs.

This is really hard :/

Based on what I've listened to the most, it's probably

Agalloch - The Mantle

or

Aesop Rock - Labor Days

But even though I listen to it a bit less, I think my favorite is probably

Anathema - A Natural Disaster

^ while I didn't consider those when having to pick 1 favorite, those are both amazing albums (I tend to prefer the "No Wings To Speak Of" EP though) and certainly included in my large list of favorites of this decade as hopesfall is one of my all time personal favorites and one of the biggest inspirations for starting my/our band.

+2 TWWfriendship pts for you good sir.

No Wings was great, but I really like the space-rocky sound that was introduced in TSY.

Opposite of December is just a freaking amazing album. It's one of those few albums for me that I can sit down, listen to the whole thing from start to finish, and just go "Wow"

Based on the responses so far, it seems like most of you are a pretty homogeneous bunch.
