Westbrook surprised the shit out of me last year. I didn't think he would be that good that fast. He could have gotten ROY if he was on a better team.

Green tore it up in preseason

Harden underperformed, given the amount of PT he got

granted it's the Kings, who had the worst record in the league last year, but the Thunder dropped 39 in the first quarter.

Krstic and Green look good....and obviously Durant is playing like Durant

i did some quick research and found that the OKC franchise hasn't had a winning record at any point in any season since 04-05.

WOW

Durant is the antithesis of "clutch"

- dude airballed a clear-out/game winner shot at the end of regulation
- dude airballed a shot in OT with 20 seconds left that would have given them the lead

all in all, good game. gave the Lakers a scare

33-21

5th in the West

Durant has to be in the top-3 for MVP discussions

Harden, still without a start, is 4th on the team in ppg and 3rd in assists

Big game tonight against the Suns. They are pretty much neck and neck in the middle of the West playoff race.

Just for the record, i had a suspicion that Durant might be a decent player one day.

I know, its crazy if you spend 5 minutes to read that thread I am virtually the only one who even saw Durant as a potential star.... I'm sitting there saying this guy is the next megastar and everyone else is saying nah, I'd take Oden...

what causes people to be so wrong sometimes

And the funny thing is if you asked people now all of them would say "oh yeah I knew Durant would be nasty" haha.... thats the best thing about the internet, the way everything is documented and hindsight doesnt rule the day anymore.

[Edited on March 26, 2010 at 10:48 PM. Reason : haha Oden over durant consensus]

Harden was great last night, but Sefolosha is a premeire defender and he's doing a good job on Koberman.

I don't know if I posted in that thread, but I consistently told people that Durant should go first. I understood why people liked Oden, but I don't know how they figured him to be so dominant...event without the injuries, which made it even that more risky.

You'd have to be blind not to recognize Durant's potential his freshmen year at Texas. You have players like Dirk who are tall, can shoot, and handle...but not with the athleticism of Durant. He reminds me of McGrady with a little bit more of a complete game and more drive (and two inches taller).

Durant and Lebron are in a class of their own in regards to their size, athletic ability, and skill. Lebron is stronger, but Durant is a better shooter and a little more fluid. Should be fun to watch them battle it out for the next 10 years.
