I made white chocolate macadamia nut cookies tonight. I got the dough prepared, and it looked great! Tasted great too.



So, I started baking. And I was doing really good! 2 batches down, 1 batch to go! The house smelled so good. And they were delicious!!!



Then, I poured my 4th beer. I hadn't yet eaten dinner, and I was drinking my 4th beer. No big deal? Eh...I got distracted by Chicago the movie, singing along to the songs, dancing in the living room, drinking my beer. I turned off the oven when the timer dinged. And I forgot the 3rd batch of cookies in the oven. I sat down to watch Grey's Anatomy. One hour later, I remembered batch #3 in the oven.






The moral of this story kids? Don't DRINK and BAKE.

i was at work today, and the traders were talking about how they wanted it to be Cake Day. the 15th of the month my office celebrates the birthdays with lots of cake. well, the traders working today would not be working next week on the 15th, and they mentioned how "once again, we're gonna miss the Cake Day" and i kinda felt bad for them.

i offered to bake them some cookies. no one could decide which kinda cookie they wanted, so i ended up making both white chocolate macadamia nut AND peanut butter Snickers cookies. 6 dozen cookies later (woulda been 7 dozen - fucking Batch #3) i'm now done with baking and coming down off my buzz, still haven't really eaten a dinner...and totally ready to snooze

this sounds gay but baking is my favorite form of cooking. I've been making cookies, pies, cakes, whatever, since i was 8 years old and make some awesome stuff. Nothin tastes better than some scratch batch cookies
