I just got finished watching it. It's not bad. Fills in a lot of holes and has a couple of neat things I wasn't expecting. EJO is right, it does make me want to go back and watch the entire series again.

i like the last episode. the last season up until then was lacking imo.

then again i caught up to the last season in about 2 weeks, and whenever you watch a series that engrossing straight through it will blow your mind, and can never be rivaled by live weekly doses.

It had the potential, but there was too much crap and filler in the later seasons. Because they wasted that time they ended up having to cram too much into the last episode and the result was garbage.

ds9 is still the king of sci fi tv.

I really thought there were only a couple "filler" episodes. Like the one when Lee played cop and brought down the evil black man. and the one with the raider that was better than all the other raiders.

Wow, so much hate for the finale. I guess because I had the luxury of watching it on dvd that everything flowed better. I loved every bit of everything with a few exceptions. I felt that the first season was a bit disjointed in the transitions but that was cleaned up beautifully. I would have liked more rationale behind the Starbuck thing. What happened to Dee still pisses me off. I do like the social commentary though but I think it leaned a little heavy on the "fear technology side" at the very end. I think it would have been neat to set up the idea that they planted evidence to be discovered at a future date to allow humans to set off and rediscover/colonize Caprica and the other colonies once the radiation was no longer an issue.
