I'm interested in buying basketball tickets for my wife for christmas to any UNC game or when UNC plays NC State (I'm leaning against the latter since we aren't too civil when we're playing each other and I'd hate to have to defend her against fans at RBC).

Two people on craigslist refused to send me a scan of the ticket or even tell me the face value of the ticket unless we meet in person. No way am I getting jacked over this. Maybe I'm just being paranoid.

Craigslist is turning out to be kind of sketchy, and I was looking at stubhub. I'm not getting better prices from people off of craigslist, even with haggling. Anyone used stubhub? I'd like to have physical tickets in hand for the Christmas gift, so scalping at the event is out. Thoughts are appreciated.

I know about three years ago I got scammed buying UNC/State tickets. Guy never sent them and apparently scammed like eight people of thousands of dollars.

He gave me my money back, but it was almost a year later.

Have bball tickets even mailed? I have used stubhub with success. It has the advantage of being guaranteed (so you won't get screwed), but is often overpriced.

It wouldn't surprise me they won't send the scan of the ticket (they don't want to get scammed either), but a red flag they won't tell face value.

Yeah, I was wondering about that too..I may wait until next month to see if there are more tickets on the market. Shit I can still buy tickets to the UNC-Rutgers game on Dec. 28 from tarheelblue, but I wanted to get something better than nosebleeds. I'll probably end up going with Stubhub. Thanks for the tip.

go to the game

stand outside with two fingers raised in a peace like style

have money in your pocket

find people scalping

buy two tickets to said game

profit.

True. Just about any game you can get tickets outside of the game for cheaper than stubhub, but you won't show up with tickets and hand and may end up missing tipoff depending on how long you hold out...

But I seriously appreciate the input.

Your not going to get an ACC game at the Dome for face value on CL unless you're at the right place at the right time, and I doubt that would even matter. Why would a season ticket holder put tickets on CL for face? Any UNC ticket holder has plenty of friends who have probably asked to scoop up any tickets they aren't using, they don't need to go to any added trouble to unload tickets for face, this is UNC basketball were talking about. You should be able to get tickets to a crappy non concerence game for face though. Face is probably $45 for their home bball games, have no idea if face is the same for every game like it is for our bball, avg is probably 45 though.

I have a similar question regarding NC State tickets...

I'm thinking about trying to get half decent tickets to the Florida game but there appear to be few available at this point and they are . Like $400 a ticket for section row YY of section 118.

Does anyone know when State's season tickets are sent out? I'm guessing prices would drop as more people actually get a hold of tickets to sell? Or is $400 bucks a ticket normal for not sitting in the upper level against a decent team? (I'm guessing the answer here is no, but don't like to assume these things)
