that class won't stay #6. i remember this time last year we had a top 10 class coming in. same the year before and the year before that. it always ends badly.

Not every year. He had three, and would have had four if Herb had stayed.

And people were trying to run him out for like 6 or 7 years. And even then he didn't quite get "fired".

Fowler isn't gonna fire anyone in year 4.

If we start losing, esp if we start losing bad, fans and media attention will get negative

Recruits will see this and reconsider

So basically, if we suck this year, there's no way there will be some positive draw to keep those kids. It'll be nothing but "this team sucks, it's up to you to save it!" and i'm pretty sure most top recruits would rather have a chance to shine, not take a team from 12th to 10th.

Lowe is a good guy but have you really seen any development skills worth keeping him around for? He shouldn't get extra time if he keeps sucking just b/c he's an alumnus. It's wasted time and money.
