Premieres: Tuesday December 1st at 9:00pm on ABC

As most everyone knows this year the setting switches from the halls of Sacred Heart to the classrooms of the local medical school where Dr. Turk and Dr. Cox have become teachers.

Faison and McGinley are the only two returning full time cast members with Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke making guest appearances.




I know I will watch this, but i feel like the season 8 finale "My Finale" really sent the show off well so i'm not sure how much i'll put into this. It just won't be the same to me without some of the key characters and guests.

i'm just gonna watch it like its a new show and try not to compare it to the early seasons of scrubs. i mean honestly it doesnt have to be that great to compare to the last couple seasons anyway.

and if the opening scenes are any indication of the direction this show is going then....well . They did so well last year with trying to bring the seriousness back into the show and limit the "zany antics". But this has started out exactly the opposite much like some of the latter NBC seasons.

I was let down by the two episodes last night, though I still did a fair share of lol'ing. As long as that Australian (^) chick keeps getting a bit of face time I'm tuning in

I'll probably watch it at least till Zach Braff leaves after 6 episodes.

If the Janitor is seriously off the show I am severely disappointed (of course if JD's not on the show anymore who would the janitor pick on).

Of course Janitor is gone. He's got a lead role on The Middle which has been picked up for a full season on ABC. So yeah, no Janitor..and the way they wrote him off was perfect.

Just finished watching the first 2 episodes, and I was trying to figure out what it was about the show that really didn't sit well with me. I mean, the show had some definite funny parts that made me laugh, but it still kind of sucked. I realized that the problem is the new main chick. She sucks, and any plot surrounding her is boring and unfunny. They should have centered the show around Denise.

what show were you people watching?

OK, it wasn't great, and may end up being only the 6th or 7th funniest thing on network TV this week (depending on how NBC and FX Thursday nights are, and the Modern Family re-run on ABC), but still, it's wasn't bad. In fact, I posit it was pretty much on par with what i saw of the past couple seasons of Scrubs.

If they're trying to set up the new blond girl to take over the lead when J.D. leaves in a few weeks, though... the show will be in for a world of hurt.


And every scene with Denise I can't stop thinking about her on FotC, where she played pretty much the same character (manly, overly aggressive)

i hate this new season. i'll give it another episode or two to se if it pulls me back in and then call it quits.

is denise the only intern from last season that was carried over? and why does she pretty much get to be an attending doctor in her second year? i get the RA thing, but not that. and doesn't it make it against the rules for her to date a med student regardless of his age?

i, too, am sad to see janitor leave. but as long as kelso is still around i'm ok with it. i'm hopping to see some ted, murphy, floyd, beardface, and michead from time to time...but if todd is the only minor crazy i will get bored quick.

I was pleasantly surprised by thie episodes.

I went in not trying to hold it to [scrubs] and that seemed to help me appreciate it more. I think they've made JD overly irritating (nearly to the points of season 6 & 7) and I'll be glad to see him phase out in 6 episodes or so. Though I was shocked they mentioned that Elliott & JD married...never thought they'd expand the relationship that far...and after 8 seasons of back and forth it seemed a little cheap to just have it a sidenote!

The humor was there, though and I'll keep watching. Drew seems like an interesting character...and hopefully they'll have enough old cameos to keep it scrubs-esque.

This wouldn't be her second year. This season of scrubs is a couple years in the future from last season.

It can't be more than a year after JD left the hospital, which means Denise would still be at the start of year 3...she should be in her residency.

And I hate that as a Janitor substitute they went with the Miller High Life guy as a security guard, its just dumb.

as much as i hate Cole, the Dr. Wolverine thing had me lolling hard last night.


JD's jealousy of Drew is such a degression of the character that was really stepping up his maturity in the last season. He's just tough to watch. As someone stated earlier, the serious episodes were always the most enjoyable...the wackiness just becomes too much sometimes.
