Otherwise, I'm genuinely interesting in suggestions of similar bands, as I tend to enjoy most everything I've heard come out of that particular music scene. IS THAT SO WRONG?

I can't believe it got this far without mentioning the best band to come out of Sweden: Opeth.

Also definitely worth listing is Meshuggah

Swedish music generally sucks.

But I guess there's nothing to do there in the winter except write music, so they have a disproportional number of bands. Kind of like Canada.
