I read this somewhere, so don't take it as gospel. Apparently each team can play 2 exhibition games against other schools. They can either be open or closed to the public. We already played Richmond as a closed exhibition game, and Ga. St. will be our open game.

I guess the idea is that you can actually agree to play higher level teams if it's behind closed doors, like how Carolina played Vanderbilt the other day. Even if you lose, it's more hearsay than open for public ridicule.

A scrimmage against another D1 team has to be behind closed doors and technically no stats should be kept. St. Paul's is D2, so it was open to the public.

You either get two exhibitions, or one exhibition and one closed practice against another team. UNC has the same set-up we do this season.






(g) Exhibition against a Non-NCAA Division I Four-Year Collegiate Institution. An exhibition contest
against a four-year collegiate institution (other than an NCAA Division I institution) played in the arena
in which the member institution regularly plays its home contests. An institution may exempt two such
contests during any year in which it does not use the exemption set forth in Bylaw 17.3.5.3-(h), or it
may exempt one such contest and one practice scrimmage as defined in Bylaw 17.3.5.3-(h) each year;

signed before 8/15/08 may be honored)
(h) Practice Scrimmage. An informal practice scrimmage with outside competition, provided it is conducted

staff members and those necessary to conduct a basketball practice scrimmage against outside competition
may not be present during such a scrimmage. The institution shall ensure that the scrimmage is free
from public view. No class time shall be missed by basketball student-athletes in conjunction with such
a scrimmage, including all associated activities (e.g., travel, pregame and postgame activities). An institution

I think I like the multi-screen setup better than the one giant screen. They can still combine the screens and put one giant video on it and can make for some really cool looking intros (opening night for the hurricanes they went back over the playoff run and each screen had a different angle of big moments from the playoffs, but each screen had a different camera angle, all synced up, it was pretty fucking awesome)

the bobcats board is definitely bigger and pretty damn good looking but I think I prefer the RBC setup.

if they've spent enough time putting the intro together it should come out to be pretty cool.

How does parking work? How much does it cost to pay a single game? Is it free to park in the fairground lot? I can get $5 tickets but not a parking pass likely.

RBC parking is $10 this year, but you can just as easily park a quarter mile away (from the $10 parking spots) on Westchase in those office building's parking lots
