I do. It's pretty great in terms of drinks and atmosphere, not so great in terms of prices and crowd. Only beers from NC, only liquor from the US of A, and they make their own sodas (cola, ginger ale, and usually a seasonal fruity variety like peach or strawberry). Mixed drinks start at about $7, so it's not a place you can go every weekend, and it's super small, so it can be tough to find a spot on the weekend, but it's still a really cool joint and gets my seal of approval, for whatever that's worth. 11/7/2009 1:23:22 AM |

i don't like pricey bars because I have a high tolerance and am a very "giving" drinker, so I end up spending too much money at places like that... and for all of you who say "well you don't have to drink that much," who the hell wants to spend 25-30 bucks on 2-3 drinks?
that being said, i've never heard of this place- where is it? is it more of a bar or a club? 11/7/2009 10:45:24 AM |

Definitely a bar. And while I'm generally a fan of the types of places where you can absolutely destroy your liver for less than $30 if you so desire, it's still nice to go to a nicer place every once in a while.

Because it was built under one of the buildings on Fayetteville St.
From what I heard, they had to remove all the dirt by hand...So they parked a truck on the side of the road and paid a bunch of guys to start shoveling.10/13/2010 11:33:31 AM |
