I did the one here in RTP last time ... they held it over at Edge Office on glenwood.

It was ok ... lots of homers there, which I thought was sorta odd.

Good experience, but only if you have nothing else to do that weekend.

they've got over 100 people paid up for this weekend - hopefully it's not a complete bust - a coworker told me about it and is going - a friend of mine from raleigh is coming in town to check it out as well

we all work for startupish companies and he's about to leave his to work on building out his side business and wants to meet some talent to get that going

i want to meet some talent for my current company as well but i have a feeling people are going to be there solely for that purpose so it might be a worthless venture on that front

i meant to update this earlier and forgot - there were some really lame ideas and some really impressive ones

here's the one i worked on - Xpense Track
the idea is that it's a mobile expense system - take a picture of your receipt with your android/winmo/iphone device and upload it to the server - expense report is created automatically

we created the iphone and winmo apps by the end of the weekend and had a good PoC for the web side of things - a few of the guys are running with it despite the competition - we'll see how it goes

How many ppl are signed up for the Durham event? Trying to decide between Durham and Richmond. Maybe do NYC to get larger exposure if the attendance at then other two is low
