In before the bucket. Also in before someone tries to explain the difference between a MB and a Mb to lafta. 11/11/2009 8:46:55 PM |

lafta, the results are in Mb (megabit) not MB (megabyte), there's 8 bits per byte, do the math:
13Mb/s download = 1.62MB/s .36Mb/s upload = 46KB/s
which is pathetic (upload)
IN before someone comes in here with their work or educational (non-home) ISP result

I'm paying for 20 down and 3 up. Works great for me.
Makes my gametap subscription worth it.

Standard RoadRunner account (not sure what it’s supposed to be, but it’s clearly faster than what they bill it as)

Time Warner with turbo boost...
I don't care much about upload speeds (I've gotten around 75 kB/s with some torrents) but download speed could be better (though again, I've gotten around 1.5 MB/s with some torrents)
My work's connection is 2 Mb up, 2 Mb down

actually you're right, i saw something different, i was copying by typing what i saw when i saw MB i did a double take, i looked again it was MB so i say whatever, but now i realize i saw something different
hell i didnt even expect it to be over 6Mb/sec anyways, so seein 13MB or 13Mb is still shocking its only a factor of 8 off anyways11/11/2009 10:40:03 PM |

I've had Fios here in Tampa for 5 years now. We were considering moving and it was a requirement that the new house had Fios available.
