My first thought was "Michael Bay or Zach Snyder have got to be behind this" from the trailer. I was glad to be wrong, but then I discovered that the guy behind The Incredible Hulk is involved.

As I finished watching, my next thoughts were along the lines of "you know, the claymation added a real charm to the old movie, this isn't very charming," and "this reminds me of a Hercules episode"

I might just be in a critical mood though.

^Yeah. I was expecting them to show a quick flash of the Kraken as the last few frames at the very end - right before they showed the release date. Didn't get either.

And yeah, no owl? I'm assuming that they just left it out of the trailer.

I LOVED the original and I was excited when I first heard of it I was excited.

But the more I see/hear about it the less I want to see the movie.

It looks like the story has changed. Seems to me like its more about mankind saying they rule the world now and don't need the gods so Zeus gets pissed. Makes no sense to me.

More people in the movie industry are starting to claim that the near future will have every movie in 3D...

I for one will watch 2D as much as possible for as long as possible, until such a time as 3D glasses are no longer necessary to watch 3D.

i don't like sam worthington, love liam neeson, but from the trailer it doesn't look like he is that impressive in this one.

I can handle 3D films that were shot digitally, with 3D cameras, and with 3D in mind at the beginning.

I can't handle 3D films that are upconverted to profit off a gimmicky technology that has yes to truely prove itself.

Oh no, Scorpion King I KNEW was supposed to be a Bish movie flick. They probably could have done a better job with this movie had they actually focused it that direction. Ugh, just don't see this, please don't. Even the special effects and actions scenes were largely meh.

It was enjoyable, but it wasn't near as epic as the trailers made it seem. I thought it was going to be more of a summer blockbuster type flick, but it really wasn't. It wasn't bad but it wasn't anything above "alright".

Saw it in 3D at The Grande in Winston and the screen was way too dim, which was disappointing. 3D really added nothing to the movie and honestly if you do see it, I'd just go to the 2D version.
