we are officially out of bowl contention, maybe it is time to start looking ahead?

i am not even necessarily saying i want this to happen, b/c i really want to beat unc

Let's pretend that it really fucking matters who we start at QB when the other 10 guys around him and the 11 guys on defense probably wouldn't start on any team in the Top 10 (there are probably some exceptions but who gives a shit). Let's delude ourselves into thinking that the guy who lines up as QB is really going to make us something any better than a .500 team at best. Let's make threads about how we're building a really solid program and that "in a few years" we're going to be competing for an ACC title. Let's even go out on a limb and say that NCSU has anything to offer an up and coming athlete that other ACC schools don't have. "Well, I could go to Miami or Florida State where it's nice and sunny and there are thousands of hot 18 year old bitches just begging me to have sex with them..... or I could go to Duke or UNC, who have super prestigious basketball programs.... no wait I will just go to NCSU because I am that fucking stupid."

It doesn't really matter who starts. Wilson.... Glennon....Rivers....Favre..... hell, Jesus Christ himself could throw on a pair of cleats and we'd probably still end up 7-4, 4th in the ACC, with a trip to the Uncle Steve's Cow Manure Bowl. We had our glory days in the early 00's, and even then we weren't really that good. It's not going to happen again anytime soon, and for damn sure not in the next 5 years.

^agree that I don't think it matters who we start at QB the rest of the year. However, strictly looking at the UNC game, I want Wilson. I think he is better for that game considering his mobility and UNC's defensive speed. And he is the better QB at this time (obviously)

I don't mind Glennon getting more reps though esp. if this is Wilson's last year. If he has told TOB he is done after this year there is definitely no problem with getting Glennon more time. Esp. now b/c we won't get bowl practices so this is his last chance to get good reps before next spring.

Maybe it’s my undying hope for NC State athletics, but I really think we’re a new defensive coordinator and a healthy Nate Irving away from being a good football team next year (if Wilson comes back, which is TBD I guess).

As maligned as our secondary has been all year, we have some good young talent next year with Byrd/Smith at corner and Bishop/Wolff at safety. Now we just need to fine someone who makes good use of that talent instead of shitting on it with a horrible scheme.

On Gameday, Glennon enters on the first series.

First down - hands off to Eugene, who is tackled in the backfield for a 2 yard loss.
Second down - hands off to Baker, who is tackled in the backfield for a 2 yard loss.
Third down - Glennon looks, and looks, and looks for an open receiver before being sacked for a 2 yard loss.
Fourth down - Punt for 26 yards.

Occasionally on 1st down Eugene will receive a toss in the backfield instead of a handoff, where he will be tackled for a 2-4 yard loss.

Occasionally on 2nd down Baker will fumble, resulting in a turnover.

If Bible tells TOB he has some more plays that might work, TOB will respond by saying, "No. I'm gonna run my program."

At the end of the game: L.
