or at least have the referee on the field make the actual call rather than this bullshit "replay official" shit. instant replay is just giving an illusion of legitimacy for games as it stands, too many calls are still being missed 11/14/2009 6:43:41 PM |

but many calls are being reviewed correctly
why do you want to get rid of all correct reversals 11/14/2009 6:44:59 PM |

it seems to me they are letting questionable calls run its course so that they can review it though. at least thats what ive noticed since the ability to review plays has come about 11/14/2009 6:45:57 PM |

because the college football system is broken.
the "all plays are reviewed" still misses some plays that should be reviewed. the plays that are reviewed are still missed with a fairly alarming frequency. the referee on the field isn't the one making the call. I personally like to see some accountability in the process, the some games the most important official isn't on the field at all, hes in the replay booth
the NFL system is the way to go regarding replay, make the people on the field be responsible for all replay decisions 11/14/2009 6:57:16 PM |

then say modify the system not get rid of it
unless it's wrong 100% of the time, its still worth it to get some right 11/14/2009 6:58:50 PM |

Sorry. Get rid of the bs we have now.
The biggest issue I have is that it gives all games this sham of legitimacy. When the system really doesn't produce the result of all calls being right or at least not enough evidence to overturn.

where does it say a fumble has to touch the ground ? i dont recall ever hearing this rule...
every single definition i can find on the internet merely says Quote : | "b : to lose hold of a football while handling or running with ittransitive verb" |
or something similar.

get rid of the "inconclusive" clause or get rid of the "call on the field"
The replay officials should just call it what it looks "most like".
example. If a guy makes a catch and the ref calls in incomplete then they review it and it looks like a catch but they aren't 100% sure. They should be able to overturn that but they can't unless they are 100% sure its a catch. Even though the original ref had one angle and wasn't very sure it wasn't a catch in the first place, his call takes priority? 11/14/2009 7:35:48 PM |
