Oh my God, I'm pretty sure I almost worked for this guy.
A few months back there was a craigslist posting for (paid) campaign workers. I figured it was a long shot, but I sent in my resume. In response I get a biography and platform for this nameless conservative.
Among other things, his platform included:
1) A demand that we repeal the 17th amendment. 2) Pushing for legislation to force the impeachment or resignation of any legislator who voted for any of the bailouts and/or the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. 3) Sealing the US/Mexico border with the army and launching military assaults into Mexican territory. I wasn't entirely clear on the purpose of the second thing. His exact words were that he wanted to turn the border "into a war zone."
Naturally I replied that I would be glad to work for him, because I needed the cash and am willing to prostitute my principles. He never got back to me -- I assume he ran out of money.
I'll see if I can find the e-mail, there were some gems in there. 11/25/2009 2:54:35 PM |

Everything wrong with the GOP wrapped up in a nice c. 1995 website right there. 11/25/2009 2:58:40 PM |

I found the e-mail, turns out I was wrong. I almost worked for another lunatic running against David Price, in a district where David Price would beat the Lord Almighty Jesus Christ in a landslide. 11/25/2009 3:00:20 PM |

Hah. No shame in that, so long as you didn't use those exact words in your response.11/25/2009 3:46:16 PM |

Interesting site.... I kept looking for a powered by geocities statement somewhere
Lawson said he wouldn't support a republican candidate who was running, but didn't say who, is this the guy, or is there more than one republican running? Here is what Lawson's site said:
Quote : | "There is another Republican candidate who has declared his intent to contest Price in NC-04. While he was kind enough to seek my endorsement, we fundamentally disagree on the value of the Federal Reserve and its communist, debt-based money. Plank 5 of the Communist Manifesto details how we have been turned us into Wall Street’s debt slaves, and until we correctly diagnose our underlying economic illness, the mad scientists in Washington and on Wall Street are simply making things worse. His defense of this unsustainable system is understandable, as he is a currency trader previously employed by Societe Generale — the French bank that profited handsomely from your (and my) bailing out AIG. Caveat emptor." |

David Price Voted for
1) The Porkulus bill 2) Cap n Tax 3) Pelosi-care
He's been a congressman since the 1980s!
The NC GOP only needs to run a fiscal conservative...leave out all the Christian/abortion stuff and just keep hammering Price's support of the liberal nutwing agenda and you'll have a winner. 11/25/2009 8:55:58 PM |

I can't believe this website was made in the twenty-first century.
Hell, after reading a bit of the message board, I'm convinced the whole thing is a joke. 11/25/2009 10:15:08 PM |

hahaha, this has got to be a joke. The GOP wouldn't allow this cartoon character on the ticket with an (R) beside his name, I would hope. 11/26/2009 11:40:54 AM |
