damn those are terrible. it looks like they just let a preschooler pick out pretty pictures to put behind letters. i hope they didn't spend money on that.

the managing partner/VP of one of the companies we do business with (one of our 50M+ net/year companies) uses an AOL account and absolutely refuses to use anything else because "they're so good"

i know she pays for the service, but i'm not sure what services those are, if it's just email or that and something else

I think their biggest problem is how their email service is the hugest spam repository in history. When I meet someone today who is still using an AOL.com email I immediately assume they are stupid.

i'm not gonna lie i still use my aol account. the main reason being i've had the same email address since like '94 ( too much to change over). i have all the mail from my grown man email addresses sent to my aol.

Yea, I ask my friend if his parents are still on AOL every year. And they always are, even though they have RR. Even though they can keep their email addresses without paying.

^^^Why? I mean, I understand keeping the email address, but why use the client?

Get a Gmail address and use it to grab your AOL mail so people can still reach you. You'll thank me once you get used to the "new" interface and wonder how you ever stuck with AOL for so long.

you can use outlook to grab your aol mail
no need for aol software anymore in my opinion

i understand why grandparents and maybe people from Namibia who've never seen electricity before might use aol, but other than that.... but an able bodied person using it on purpose just baffles me

Aol is still alive cause old people learned how to use it and dont want to switch
its that simple, you get a lot for being first

although it didnt do much for compuserv

^My uncle still uses compuserve although he forgot his password and they can't retrieve it for him because he forgot other required information (he's over 80 years old) so i set him up with gmail instead.
