Ever since I have installed AVG on my Netbook it does not finish hibernating. When I turn it back on I have to "delete restoration data" basically doing a clean boot.

I have googled this problem every which way but can not find any help on it.

uninstall, use Microsoft Security Essentials or Comodo instead.

It's rated very highly by quite a few sources. Apparently Microsoft got it right, for once.

Review from Ars Technica:
http://arstechnica.com/microsoft/news/2009/09/first-look-microsoft-security-essentials-impresses.ars

Quote :
"Although MSE might not boast as many features as OneCare did, it is a lot better at what it does do. It's free, and it requires no registration, trial versions, or license renewals. It really does automatically stay up-to-date. Most core functions can be activated with a single click. It is also very lightweight.

Based on what we've seen so far, we have to recommend that you at least give the product a download. Everyone currently using free antimalware software should give it a shot, and those with paid solutions should think about taking MSE for a spin before renewing subscriptions. "

I falsely accused AVG of causing this. I was going off the fact that the problem started around the time I installed AVG, I uninstalled AVG and still the same problem.

I do not have much software on this netbook, MS Office is pretty much the only thing installed. Any ideas of what else to try.

Time for some details about your netbook, OS version, other changes you recently made, your current Windows power settings, etc. Details, man, details!
