Good article in the CO about UNC getting screwed by the bowls. Looks like they will end up in Charlotte yet again since the Gator is hell bent on taking FSU now that it is Bowden's last game.

The worst is that the loser of the championship game now drops all the way to the Champ's. This "two win" rule is the dumbest shit ever invented.

Thanks to Swofford's 2 win BC rule, we replace the Gator with the El Paso Bowl starting next year. Now the conference will be equally screwed.

Gator's 2-win exception went into place because they were being forced to take the ACC Championship loser, forcing Jacksonville to host a small unenthusiastic fan base to return after already low turnout for the Championship Game.

UNC doesn't really get screwed as much as a team that legitimately should have been in a Gator or Champs but now will end up in Music City or Meineke (GT or Clemson). Champs to Music City is a much bigger bigger dropoff than Music City to Charlotte, especially for UNC.

But Seriously it should be done, except instead of an ax it should be the NC flag that the team carries on the field on their entrance. It should be a flag that has been in war or something of significance and each game should be notched in the flagpole. Winner obviously keeps the flag and represents NC by bringing it onto the field each game. Loser does not get to enter with a flag that year. After the flag stick is filled, it goes to the ACC HQ or goes to whoever wins the most matchups on that flagpole.

Again, how did they get "ripped off." They were distantly behind #3 in the computer rankings. If anything, the preconceived biases HELPED them by being preseason ranked higher than Cincy... Otherwise it would have been a small gap b/t 2 and 3 likely.

Cincy beat #16, 17 and 18 in the final BCS standings. TCU beat #14 and #23.

TCU was ahead of Texas and Cincy in the computers like 2-3 weeks ago. The problem is they played New Mexico State while the other two played awful "good" teams. Nebraska's offense may be worse than our defense
