Anyone played it yet? I've seen pretty average reviews but I got it anyways and its fun so far.
The controls are the same as any other 3rd person shooter but no cover.
You can make a holograph of yourself, heal, use a weapon that takes out everything around you, turn invisible, dodge, slow motion, and ride in vehicles, mechs, etc. which I haven't gotten to yet.
The environment is obviously awesome and the mission design varies as you get XP for almost everything you shoot (not much) but you do level and get to use skill points.
I haven't gotten far but they stole from many games including Borderlands, Crysis, and more but I see no problem with that since they did it well.
For some reason LT is dodge and RB is aim but I'm sure you can change them (haven't tried yet; been too into the game and haven't played much b/c I'm a pirate ARRRRRR) 12/4/2009 5:32:59 PM |

Not sure about Dark Sector since you can't take cover and have nothing to throw and your weapons are far more advanced.
I guess its similar to Dead space with a lot worse story, worse graphics, but more maneuverable player. I haven't played it much or even used the gimmicks much so I can't tell you much of its quality but from the two games you've mentioned I have played and enjoyed Wanted even though it's repetitive and 5 hours long. The reviews say Avatar is repetitive but I just can't see that happening with so many modes (as in vehicles/weapons/powers/leveling) to play and I read it has 9 hours of gameplay without doing extra missions (which are repetitive to them).
In my experience extra side missions are always repetitive but I guess that's why idiots gave Assassin's creed bad ratings.
It's not the greatest game but definitely worth a play through, I don't know if I'd drop 60 for it but maybe in a month it will be 10-15 on eBay.
