Either I was just sent the most elaborate phishing email of all time or 37signals is getting sloppy at copy:

Quote :
"Dear Customers,

An important upgrade is on the way
Last week we posted an announcement inside Basecamp, Highrise, Backpack, and Campfire letting you know about an upcoming upgrade to our username and password system. The upgrade requires your cooperation, and about one minute of your time, but it'll all be worth it. We wanted to email you to make sure you didn't miss the announcement.

Here's what you'll have to do
Starting the week of December 13th-18th -- and continuing until everyone's been upgraded -- everyone who uses Basecamp, Highrise, Backpack, or Campfire will be asked to choose a new username and password after they log into your account (you'll see a screen that looks like this). Each person will only have to choose a new username and password once (even if they have multiple accounts or use multiple products) and it will only take a few seconds.

The upgrade addresses top customer requests
We've been working on this upgrade for over a year. The new features address many of our customers' top requests including better security, a single username and password for all your accounts, and the ability to sign in to your account from more places.

Details, screenshots, and FAQs
We've put together the following resources explaining the reasons behind the upgrade, the benefits of the upgrade, screenshots of the process and new features, and FAQs:

1. A letter to our customers with an overview of the upgrade process, benefits, and time table.

2. Screenshots of the new system plus FAQs. A visual explanation of the benefits of the new system.

3. FAQs regarding the new account system and your clients. If you use Basecamp or Campfire with your clients, this page will answer some questions you may have.

It'll be worth it
We know choosing a new username and password is a bit of a hassle. We're sorry to have to ask you to make this change. But we believe the short term inconvenience will pay off big for you in the long term. The new system is more secure and easier to use. Plus, it lays the foundation for a variety of upgrades and enhancements you've been asking for years. We can now begin working on cross-product integrations, moving information between accounts, etc. Lots of good stuff on the way.

Questions? Comments?
We're here to help and answer any questions you may have about the upgrade. We've set up a special email box at accounts@37signals.com to respond to your questions. Send us an email and we'll get back to you quickly. Also, please be sure to review the letter to our customers, the screenshots of the new system, and FAQs regarding the new account system and your clients.

Thank you!
Thanks for your continued support. We hope you have a happy holiday season and a successful 2010.

Doesn't seem like a phishing email to me since it doesn't provide a link to login from but rather just says 'the next time you login' which would be via whatever your bookmark is.
