Ok, so I don't know how DVD's are set up, but are there separate tracks for dialogue, sound effects, music, etc? (One time i watched a ripped off version of "the fast and the furious" and it had no music, but the rest of the audio was fine.)

Is there a way to separate the audio and save the tracks separately?

On normal movie dvds, you have the movie audio track, any alternative language tracks and the commentary. There is not separate tracks for "dialogue, sound effects, music, etc." You can easily rip any audio track from a dvd, but if you wanted to separate the music from the dialogue, etc of a movie audio track, it would be quite difficult.

You could use http://www.videohelp.com/tools/PgcDemux to extract the audio track from the dvd, you might have to rip the dvd first, with dvddecrypter or whatever else you prefer.
