Does anyone on TWW and in the Raleigh area play it on a rec/club team? Skill level? What size are your wingers?

i'll probably start playing again soon. i played briefly before but because of complications following neck surgery the doctor told me to give it a break, i think enough time has passed.

I can't wait to get back to the pitch. I play for Cherry Point RFC. I fractured my shoulderblade against Ft. Bragg not too long ago.

We had a couple guys from NCSU RFC play with us on day 2 of the Cape Fear 7s tournament. I don't recall anybody being huge, but what difference does it make. Grab your cleats and head out to your nearest pitch on a Tuesday or Thursday night (I'm almost certain that's when they practice, that's when most clubs do)

There's no tryouts in club rugby.

If you suck, you'll still get to play, but on B-side.

^ Just like he said: On most clubs (especially Div. III), anybody is welcome to come out.

Even if you have never played before you will get some playing time. Playing rugby is the best way to learn and its the only way to get better. If you have never played before, you may want to do some research so you can learn the basic rules and terminology. You can also find full length matches on youtube.
