Yeah, he was able to finish the game against Marquette with a little limp but he looked fine walking around on Saturday. If he's out against Elon we'll still be okay but we really do need him against Wake.

I hope that's the case, as we're obviously a much better team with Javi running the point (though Mays was serviceable yesterday), but Atsur was out for like 3/4 of the season with the same thing so I wouldn't be too sure about that.

^^ As a point guard, Mays was/is terrible. As a shooting guard, he's serviceable, although he is still on the short/slow side.

The only thing i've seen Mays capable of doing is hitting open shots. I've never seen him do anything to make me thing he's a great at getting in the lane or having the leadership to be a pt. guard.

^ I am all for giving credit where credit is due. Mays shot well on Saturday and has hit some big shots in the past. Hence my comment about him being a serviceable shooting guard. As far as creating opportunties for himself or others, he was terrible and I stand by that statement. When he's running the offense, he looks downright lost and turns the ball over accordingly.

I should clarify that I don't consider taking/hitting a tough jumper with someone in your face as the clock is winding down to be creating an opportunity for himself, and these were the types of shots he was hitting on Saturday. It's definitely nice to see him hit that shot, but a point guard worth his salt is going to be able to get better looks for himself or others off the dribble. I just don't see Mays as being able to do that.
