Not the same as the movie remake that was rumored a few years ago. It looks like they are making a TV show about it now .

Quote :
"Step aside Michael J. Fox and Jason Bateman - there's a new "Teen Wolf" in town.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has found its lead for the TV remake of the 1985 movie and its subsequent sequel.

Tyler Posey, who is best known for his roles in "Lincoln Heights" and "Brothers & Sisters," will take on the role of Scott McCall, a dorky high-school student who gains a slew of new powers after being attacked by a wolf - including the gift of attracting girls.

Young stars Tyler Hoechlin ("7th Heaven"), Crystal Reed (MTV's "Hard Times") and Dylan O'Brien have also been cast in the pilot.

The series will reportedly be both a drama and buddy-comedy, written by "Criminal Minds" creator Jeff Davis.

Although the original film was a PG plot, MTV Senior Vice President Liz Gateley hinted the series might be a bit darker.

"It has a fresh take and is very different from the original," Gateley previously said. "It has more of an 'American Werewolf in Paris' feel to it."

No word if the new series will feature Scott strutting his wolf talents on the basketball court like the original."

btw, I haven't seen Teen Wolf in a while, but if I recall correctly, Michael J. Fox's character wasn't bitten by a wolf, it was genetic, right?

We're here with Tracy Jordan, who just recounted, by the way, the entire plot of the movie 'Teen Wolf.'

yeah, and it really wasn't explained that well either. his dad was like "hey we're werewolves" and that's how it was

Wasn't there an American Werewolf movie that had quite a bit of nudity in it, with the female protagonist?

I thought it was American Werewolf in London--I saw it my first night in London, and I remember the protagonist like... dreaming that the girl that was taking care of him had straddled him on the bed and thrust her breasts into his face. Or something. It was a long time ago.

^^An American Werewolf in London is to date the best werewolf horror movie. The Paris one really wasn't that great, but I remember the scene you are talking about.

i watched teen wolf the other night on encore and to be honest, I'm a little surprised it's PG. mainly because of the high school kids drinking, pot - although i guess it didn't show them smoke it (still though), and having sex (mjf bwns the blonde, they show her get topless but nothing else and no actual boobies). It show her approaching him and cuts away and you hear him howling. I would have thought it was pg-13. but then again, the only pg movies i've seen in a long time are pixar movies.

^^^PG-13 had only been a ratings option for a few months when Teen Wolf came out. It wasn't totally established the way it is today, and they were a little looser back then.

Before PG-13, it just went from PG to R. For example, Sixteen Candles had full on bare breasts, pot, excessive teen drinking, racist remarks, sex talk, etc...and it was PG.

As a basketball player, you cannot stand underneath the goal while an opposing player shoots free throws in an attempt to intimidate him. This is a violation of the rules and that the referee allows it is too unrealistic for me to suspend my disbelief and enjoy the movie. If they can avoid a similar ridiculous scene, it has my blessing.
