I think people who don't like MacGruber don't understand how much is going on with it.

Also, as I said before, the fact that they're letting Jorma run this and this:

You've name dropped "Jorma" 2 times now as if
a) anybody at all has a clue who the fuck this guy is and
b) he's made anything at all worth watching.

I had to google the guy to find out who he was. Oh, he's the other guy in Jizz in my pants and on a boat huh? He also had a couple of bit roles in some really shit movies like Land of the Lost and Hot Rod.

Well you've sold me. I'm sure this movie will be brilliant with that kind of proven track record.

I'm sorry you don't know anything about the people who produce programs you might enjoy.

Jorma Taccone is principally a writer and director, not an actor, which is why his acting resume in traditional media is limited to bit parts. He did star in The 'Bu on Channel101.com, the popularity of which helped lead to jobs on SNL for himself, Andy Samberg, and Akiva Schaffer. You might be familiar with other shows from Channel101 like Yacht Rock and Chad Vader.

Anyway, he is almost completely responsible for MacGruber as a concept, and directs all of the MacGruber sketches. Because they're letting him direct it instead of handing it off to someone who doesn't understand exactly how the concept works, I'm hopeful that the film will come off well.
