I couldn't find anything with a search so let me know if I missed something.

Anyone have one of the new "pocket" digital video cameras like the flip? I'm looking for something cheap & small that I can throw in my car, briefcase, or tool bag when visiting job sites to capture customer reviews, construction issues, or quality control issues. Quality isn't extremely important. This will be for internal use or uploading to YouTube for our website/viral advertising. I would like to have something comparable to the 2 hours that I can get with the Flip.

I've talked to a couple of people with a Flip that are happy with it but I was wanting to see if anyone had any other recommendations. I seem to recall a few of these coming out in the past few months but I can't find any other than an RCA (which I'm not interested in since RCA hasn't made any quality products in the past 10+ years).

Any suggestions? Also, anyone have any info on real battery life?

I agree the Flips are great for the price.

For $299, check out the HD Hero. It's FREAKIN awesome. Just watch the sample vid.

I got the Creative Vado (1st gen) HD w/ 2hrs 720p storage. Obviously it has a lot more SD video storage. Video quality is good as long as it is not a low light situation. The editing software is on the camera, so you can use it on any computer. Flip maybe the same, I've never used one. The software is pretty basic, but allows trimming, splicing, and one button upload to YouTube.

ive had two flips now ... loved both. Exactly the features you need at that price, and for the types of things you use it for. Spent a week with my kids, and kept it in my pocket the whole week. So many great short videos of them that I wouldn't have otherwise.

I did forget to mention one thing. I use a mac at home so I'd likely do the editing on iMovie if I needed anything more than cutting.

^^I found those earlier today but several of the reviews that I found basically said to skip them in favor of the Flip. Actually, pretty much everything I found except for a Zenith (that's out of production) was found to be slightly "worse" than the Flip.

The only thing that I haven't been able to find out so far is whether the new Mino has been updated (first ones show lower quality than the reg. Flip). Once I find that out (or decide that it's not worth the size difference), I guess I'll be picking up a Flip.

^The Vado was $100 a few months ago, so for the price difference at the time it was worth it to me. Price being the same, I probably would have picked the Flip HD. I really wish I could plug my Vado into my PS3 and watch videos directly, but that's not the case.
