I have to add a class to my already horrible course load, so I need to take the easiest 3 hour course I can.

I was thinking history, maybe english? I've already taken eng 101 and 20th century world history.

Any advice?

Philosophy of Science.

You will never need to attend that class (the professor even tells you so).

And tests are online.

And there is a ton of extra credit offered.

I think it's PHI 340, maybe 430... but that could be wrong.

Thanks for the answer...from what I see PHI 340 is an easy class grade wise but the material can be pretty tough. Are there any other suggestions?

Why don't you wait until you can actually learn what's being taught? That's the point.

Do you have to take a humanities course? Could you take a 3-hr PE or something?

Thanks guys. I'm now stuck between intro to american government and philosophy of science. I'd like some more opinions if I can get it...Has anyone else taken either (or both) of those?

CSC200 with Dana Lasher. If you know how to use Microsoft office even a little bit you will get an A in the lab, and his class is literally a joke

"a humanities"

made me lol.

Srsly though, I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned, but IDS 201 (environmental ethics) is pretty much as easy as it gets. Also, it's online this semester so it wouldn't clash with anything else in your schedule time-wise. Workload for the course is minimal, some reading but most of it is interesting anyway.

oh man, that's sad to hear. Tavakoli is the man, though. I still see him on campus and he remembers me from freshman year. Really neat guy. You could maybe email him and see if he would let you in. I'm not sure how that works with online classes.

Ditto. Had the online version with a fuckton of reading, none of which I actually did. All of the tests are online for both local and online sections. Everything's curved, and study groups usually form which help immensely.

The course material is absolutely dreadful, I think much less of philosophy both as a profession and as an academic discipline having taken the course....and I didn't think that was possible.

But yeah, easy A if you make the most of the available resources to stay on the right side of the curve.
