If you could schedule a three-game, consecutive-year series with any Division I school, which team would you choose? Penn State and Southern Cal are at the top of my list. Penn State because of the incredible game-day atmosphere surrounding and inside Beaver Stadium, which currently seats the most fans in college football, and the excitement the matchup would bring to Raleigh. USC because because of Pete Carroll's coaching connection to NCSU, the tradition of its program, the awesomeness of the Coliseum, and the fact that it would give me an excuse to check out southern California. I'm not much of a State fan, but my Dad is. So I would probably attend one of the games with him. 1/6/2010 8:52:31 PM |

Ohio State
If we could beat them just one of the 3 times we would help prevent them from undeservingly going to the national championship game that season] 1/6/2010 8:53:52 PM |

Sorry, what would the point of that series be? Other than to say we had three consecutive high-profile losses. 1/6/2010 9:13:45 PM |

notre dame-easiest way to get the spotlight ohio state-easiest powerhouse to beat boise-red unis on blue field? mmm
wouldn't be crazy to go 2-1 in there
that schedule would give us a chance to make a title run

I'd rather see us be stronger before we did something like this but I guess our chances of actually scheduling a decent team will never be higher. A FBS OOC cupcake? Who'd pass on that? 1/6/2010 9:21:10 PM |

This is based on moreso on location+team history, not just on who the best teams are:
Tennessee- close for me, big stadium, great atmosphere. Penn State- A little further, but ditto on atmosphere. Notre Dame- Grew up an ND fan. Even if they still stink, it's a very hallowed ground to play on. 1/7/2010 3:00:24 PM |

I'd like to schedule some SEC schools that are high profile but also nearby (helps our athletic budget some too for travel)
Tennessee-close by and would def. be a must-see tv game Auburn-Similar school athletically and academically Florida-just because
Alternates:
Penn State-once had a thing going with them and that state has a lot of talent compared to other northern teams
Syracuse-recognizable team that we should beat anytime
Notre Damn- Would love to improve to 2-0 all time against these homos 1/7/2010 6:36:38 PM |
