Who the fuck would spend $450 on in-ear headphones?

Jesus fucking christ. Is there really that much of a difference between a $100 pair and a $1150 pair? Can the human ear really discern that?

i actually have the set that he rated best (the UE Triple.Fi 10), but they were on sale for $99 around the beginning of december

they sound good but no way would i pay $400 for them

Driver size isn't everything. At the end of the day you're really just moving air, which you don't have to do extensively if the speaker is right above your ear drum.

I have a pair of Shure in ear headphones that provide much better bass response and clarity then comparably priced over-the-ear phones. It's when I got to monitor-quality cans driven by an amplifier that lows, mids and highs became much more distinct.
